Dr. Anissa Collins currently serves as the Director of Instruction for IRRE. Anissa has had the opportunity to be a classroom teacher, instructional specialist and school improvement facilitator, administrator, and instructional coach for both classroom teachers and instructional leaders. Currently, she spends her time supporting and reflecting with educators at all levels of a system as they partner to improve student outcomes through the growth of adults. With her team, she crafts and facilitates both virtual and in-person professional learning sessions for leaders and teachers at partner schools as well as the educational community at large. Dr. Collins has been the coauthor of several literacy-support curricula, a guide to Family Advocacy, a strategy handbook for classroom teachers, and a white paper for the White House regarding the support of curriculum work.
